where has all the time gone?

wow, i cannot believe it is almost the end of april! wow! well life has been pretty busy around this neck of the woods. its hard to remember everything that i have done since the last time i wrote, which has been far too long.

let's see well we threw a 21st birthday party for my roomate carlee, and she thought it would be fun to do a theme party. so she picked 90's which i thought was kinda ironic, since well i dunno what in the world did we wear in the 90's? and after thrifiting for some options and none were satisfactory for my needs. as we were all having cocktails and getting dressed i stubbled upon a fabulous night shirt of an almost naked man...and thought why yes that seems very appropriate with black leggings, and why yes it was quite the hit. and it was quite the night, as all birthday bashes usually are. unfornatly or perhaps fortunalty this one did not end up at the two way...hmmm :)

ive had lots of homework and interviews to be done lately, so that has been not soo fun. but it turns out im still in school this semester, which is easy to forget in this program.

last night, my dad came up becuase he was going to a conference in chicago, so he was gonna stay at my place, aww cute :) lol so we went to church with my sister and out to eat at this fabulous very hip restaurant in lincoln square, and i had the most delicous breakfast burrito. then we went to my apartment and i did some hw and then we decided we should get some food and drinks. so we ended up going to quenchers, which is possibly my new favorite bar. they have beer from all over the world and its sooo crzzzyyy how much beer choices they have. and the food was delicious. and i even got to taste test their new 12% alcoholic beer, which was super declicous, and came in a smaller glass..hmmm interesting, take note of that. it was a grand time. an the bar tender was very attenteive...hmmmm....interesting. it turns out my dad is super fun to go out with and am looking forward to another outing.

my internship is still absolutly fabulous and i am sad that i have only two weeks left of it... :( but i hear a rumor of a cake, so thats a perk! other than that jeez this post is not very intersting, i can't remember all the things latley. ohhhh hmmmm i graced ripon with my presence over the weekend. robert had me come back to see her one act, which was quite fabulous and we went out to eat at America, haha funny restaruant name and shared a delightful little bottle of white wine with our veal. delicioous. after seeing him for the day i had to say goodbye, ahhh i don't get to see him very often...tears :(

otherwise friends going out in chicago is simply fantastic, and ive been having some wonderful times, but wow all of a sudden they all escape me, wish i wouldve gotten some good sleep last nigght..oops! anyhoo chicago chicago chicago...

ahhhh i'll write again soon :)

Play me a song Piano Man

Well another week and weekend has gone by in Chicago. Nothing to iteresting has happened to me since the last time I wrote. Lets see...I finished my youth of color monologue and was able to perform that. It went soo good :) And it was really great to hear everyone elses monologues. Now I am working of my Independent studyp project and finishing up seminar homework. But i'm actually on top of things and have all my reflections done, so I am way ahead of the game. Today I am at my intership, but my supervisor isn't here yet, so I am able to write and check my e-mail.

Friday was a really fun day. We had CORE Course on friday morning were we finished up our race unit and then we were told we were having a midterm in the afternoon. ugh...a test havn't had one of those all semester. So i wasn't too excited. However, it turned out the address they gave us to meet them at for the midterm was a bowling alley...lol so our midterm was bolwing and eating pizza with everyone. It was a good time.

Friday night was fun too. Some of the guys came over to my apartment and Alison and them and I had some cocktails together and listened to music then we went to the Hallow at the Moon Piano Bar, where we met up with Kera and her friends from college. It was soo much fun. The bar was packed and full of people. So we decided to get a drink as we entered. And Ewelina, Alison and I got a hawaiian bucket, which was pretty much amazing, theres pictures :) then we all found some standing room adn danced the night away to journey, brown eyed girl, fight songs, and pretty much every great song you can think of , even margaritaville...lol.

Well that was a pretty spectacular night. On Sunday I got up and went to church with my sis and her roomie and I helped teach Sunday school, which i love!! hmmm...ran errands with my sis, went to the grocery store...and oh yes went to half priced books, and got books for $1!! ahhh so excited to read them. good thing all of my homeowrk is don :)

well this week shall be fun as well, i dont' have much homwork...so yeah...:) anyways the program is going well and im a loving most of it.

keep it real everyone :)
miss all the axo's

CRAZED!

Well I am at my internship today at The Chilrens Place. And I decided I needed a break from reading about senosory activites for children. Although It is pretty interesting stuff. So its been a pretty good week so far, and its hump day..lol I think that is so funny peeps call it that. So let's see Monday was actually a really relax but fabulous day. I went to my internship and my boss was gone and gave anne and I only a few things to do so once we finished, by 11, I went home and wrote refelction papers and caught up on some homework. yay! well i mean it wasn't fun or anything but very productive. And it was so nice being in my house alone, sometimes living with 5 girls gets a little out of control and its nice to have a break. So lets see yes I did that and then when Alison and Kera came home we did Taebo and bounced around the living room, jeez have you guys ever done Taebo, its crazzyy hard. Then we all made pancakes and eggs, lol :) it was a lovely spontaneosu roomate dinner. Then we decided to have a box wine night with the boys. And that was a hoot, spice girls, journey, pretty much the best of teh 90's and interpretive dancing..wow what can i say. It was great, until the neighbors came up to yell at us...oops. I mean jeez have some fun on a Monday night :)

Ahh tuesday rolled around and we had not class til noon, so we had the luxury of sleeping in, which hasn't happened in ages, ok a week. We went to the Jane Addams Hull House for soup. Apparently they have free soup every tuesday at noon and a speaker on food. We ate black bean soup with cilantro and sour cream, I would love to tell you it was delicous. but it was not my type of soup. But many did love it! The best part was we got to color on the table clothes, and we took it home. Then we had the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Hull Hous Museum it was really cool.

Tuesday night was fun, every tuesday I go with my sis and her roomie (s) to The Celtic Crowne for free wings and drinks. Its fabulous as long as you buy a alcoholic drink you get free unlimited wings ...delicous. So i got theri first and was sitting at a table. I called rob so i didn't look like such a loner haha. when this man i would say about 50 comes over to talk to me, he keeps telling me how beautiful i am and wow he just was trying really hard to impress me. However, he did buy my drink and i had to talk to him until my sis and jess came to my rescue. But hey, i had a free meal, so whats a few minutes talking with sam. oh and he is expecting me to show next week with him...creepy..kinda?? i dunno

anyways tonight jess invited me over to have a gluten free meal with her, angel, and emily. emily is allergic to wheat, gluten, dairy...sucks i know!! but she has a hott little body. so that will be fun then i have to figure out my youth of color monologue..eek!

anyways it has been a pretty good week thus far, oh i almost forgot i got to talk to my bestie last night prolly made my week, ahhh miss her so...tears, but its closer to may every week. I miss them but were all having fun studyign off campus :) experiences right?!?

well until later, plans for weekend goes as follows: piano bar on friday and then i'll keep you posted

keeping it fun and interesting

Lets Build a Fort!

What a busy week, i feel like this is the first time I've been on my computer all week, and even sat down. Let's see what to tell you all about my week. Well let's see Monday was a good day, went to my internship and furthered my research capabilities, and had fun with the other intern. And my boss and the two anns all had lunch together and that was great.

Tuesday was St. Pattys day and was quite the day, went to the bars and had some yummy guniess! We had such great plans of getting up early to go to the bars before class, but we were all up late finishing our projects that that just didn't happen. But it was ok, we got our presentations done and then it was time to go out and celebrate the Irish! (im not irish, in case you didn't know) So we found this bar called O'shanessey's in the red eye. The red eye by the by is this amazing free daily newspaper that tells you all the deals and happenings in Chicago for that day. So it said we could eat and drink for under 10 bucks! It was way across town off the brown line, which ok isn't that far but ya know. So we get there and we have to wait in line for about an hour to get in. ahh it was soo packed. But their was Irish dancers and beer and fun with friends. However, we didn't get to eat there and we were starving, and its like 8pm and all we have had is beer, which well is cool with me :) so we ended up leaving after a couple hours and find some food. We end up at this great pizza burger place and continued the celebration. When back on familiar Sacramento street the Two-Way had green beer and that ended the night. ahh great day :)

Wednesday was also a fun day. I did'nt have to go to my internship becuase we had an internship workshop. And part of the workshop was communication. Miss Dorthoy had us write something about each person in the room, it could be strengths, personal message, ext. And then they put them in our "mailboxes." It was definatly ego booster workshop. It made me feel so good, the things people wrote to me were so personal in most cases and it brought us all closer together. Then we were free for the rest of the day if we didn't have our internships until our movie night at 6:30. So I went back to the apartment and my bf was coming to visit and had made me lunch..aww sweet I know! I got a good one :) So then we took off and went to millenium park and bummed around downtown Chicago. It was so much fun. Then It was like 4 o'clock and hmmm what else to do but have a happy hour. So we went to Bennigans for apps and drinks...delicious. So after a few rounds there it was time to go to class and we decided to hit up every bar on the way and take a shot. it was ridiculous, but so much fun and yeah...went broke, even more broke. The tequila shot we had was 13 dollars and the whiskey was 12 but oh well it was fun and who doesn't like to go to class super...happy. i must have been pretty "happy" cuase got too many laughs and oh ann we love you at class that night. check as fun time with the bf :)

the rest of the week was great to. Thursday Rob and I had dinner with Russo (libbys brother all you axos) and mitch winn. it was great! Then we went out with the roomates that night. Ohhh my goodness we finally had a fort night. we turned our living room into a fort it was soo riduculous. then we put our mattresses under it so we could sleep there. however, i know better..sean, mallory, sondee lets recall freshmen year valentines day ..the end. so needless to say i partied in the fort but didn't sleep :) Then friday was great, had core course which was attended a blues chicago show..and eating ..what a class that was. Then i met up with rob at the wolves all state arena for a hockey game! Then we came back and had a get together with peeps on the program and all had a rum and coke night in the fort..haha too funny let me tell you.

we went to trinity church today for class, obamas church! it was three hours long and i loved every minute of it :) it was so great to be around all these wonderful christians excited about the lord with me!!! we got home from church at 5 lol we left at 9:30. A bunch of us went to china town after for lunch..good times ahhh jeez

making memories

having fun

loving life!!

St. Pats

Well I had a fabulous weekend full of fun and things to do! First, on friday after an extremely long day of class, but we finally got our first graded assignments back and i'm doing swell. Then that nigth my roomates and I and also Eric A. were volunteering at the Crossroads Foundations dinner. What this foundation does is help fund the Logan Square area non-profit organizations, foundations, ect. At first I was like why am I doing this on a Friday night, but when I got there I was sooo happy. It was a the Cultural Center in Downtown Chicago, where we had previously gone the first week of the semester for a free concert. So it was in this grand room and there was tons of people I didn't know. When we got there, Alison and I found our roomate Kera and she had a nametag so we procedded to find out where ours were. And we asked a young lady at the table who was giving other guests nametags if she had ours. And she looked at us and was like were volunteers to and we dont' have name tags. Then she told us to find Tricia. It turned out we must have been better volunteers cuase Tricia was super happy to see us and gave us name tags. She then said that she had nothing for us to do until the silent auction was over so we were to go eat and drink.

How fabulous! We of course went and got in line and had amazing indian food, and steak fajitas and wow delicous. We then went to the bar and got some free white wine. Delicsou! We ate and drank and even found some people we knew from organizations we had visited. That was soo cool! All of a sudden it was 7:30 and time to close the auction and wrap up the items for the winners. So by that time Alison and I had helped ourselves into a very feel good state of mind... oops! so here we were wrapping up gifts worth up to 1,000 dollars (some more) and we are definatly over intoxicated. Needless to say everyone was and it was a grand time. The best part was besides it being free. The rude other volunteer was in the back with us as well eating, and not being able to join in the party like we were. bummer. next we were done with that tasked and had finished so quickly Tricia was very happy and impressed, and our work was done. So we preceded to the newly put out dessert bar and ate our full....

It was time to go home and we walked to the train, and realized it was only 10'o'clock. hmmm....draw your own conclusions.

Its Saturday!

So it turns out that St. Patricks day is a pretty big deal is this city of Chicago. So on the Saturday before St. Patricks day there is the northside of Chicago Parade and then the Sunday before St. Patricks day there is the southside of Chicago Parade. So my dad had come for the day and so did the bf of mine! So those two and my sister hopped on the train downtown. It was crazzyyy it looked like the whole city had turned green, though quite exciting. So we ended up not being able to see any of the parade, but we so people in the parade and heard the bands. So we walked to the Field Musuem and didn't even have to wait in line. If you have a library card you can get into all the museums for free once you "check-out" the pass. So we went all around the museum saw the African animals, mammels, even some white -tailed deer (hard to beleive people in chicago have never see one) and also saw a really cool exhibit on Ancient Egypt.

We left the museum and found the bus to take us back to the blue line and walked back to my apartment to get my dad's car to get some FOOD! We ended up going to Lincoln Square to the Brahause, german if you couldn't tell. Where they had original german beers and brats..delicous :) oh oh oh there was also live polka music, to which i refrained from doing in public :) Then my dad took us all home and he went home as well. ahhh i love my daddy!

so now its saturday night, and St. Pattys day preperation is starting. We decide to take a quick nap becuase really why not. All of a sudden it is 8'oclock!! We get up and get dressed in our evening wear and made some delicous rum and coke! It still feels wierd that I can buy alcohol. So we think that we have to catch up to the rest of Chicago. So It turns into chugging rum and cokes and taking nasty cheap vodka shots. Ahh then my bfs frat buddy felix calls us, who just so happens lives in Chicago and is on spring break. So we get a ride from them to another Phi Delts house. We get there and by now I am quite overly intoxicated but feeling great! and we decide we must go to a bar.

we all find cabs and head to the Black Rock Bar which is somewher on Damen. We get there and its a rugby bar i guess, and the Phi Delts had played rugby earlier so they knew some peeps, got us a free pitcher. It was super fun hangin with the boys and cathie. we played bar dice and all bought a pitcher and some shots. Fun times :)

we then became extremely hungry..unusaul. so we hail a can to take us to white castle, hmmm turns out this cabbie is not so with it and takes us to burger king which is closed...so we walk to taco bell which is closed and then we see it taco king! ahhh lol we all go in and get tons of disgusting im sure food, that seemed delicious at the time...yuppers. hmmm swell though and friend felix talks in spanish and i assume in my state that i shoudl do..yeah i shoudlnt' have, but i did get water.

so yes that was super long blog, but that is the jists of my weekend, with missing parts to which is unknown.

Sunday.

Yes, robert and I went to church, which was great and had lots of fun there with my sister. Then went to dinner at Melindas and played with her kids! Fabulous :)

then end

st. patricks day is tomorrow, and you shall find us drinking green beer at 8 am before class!! can't wait
